About Theo

Theo Michelfeld is a writer, novelist, film critic, and musician from upstate New York. 

His first novel The Four Headless Horsemen of the Apocalypse Apologize was published in November 2021. His short story "Trash Dragon" was a quarterfinalist in the 2022 ScreenCraft Cinematic Short Story Competition. His short story collection The Elephants of Chiang Mai was published in May 2023. His short story collection Fried Green Tarantulas was published in a limited run in 2000. 

As a guitarist, he has performed with the rock trio Squid Fighter, the jazz duo The Baguettes, and the classic rock cover band The Second Hand Hats Band. His work as a songwriter and guitarist can be heard on the 2011 Squid Fighter album Songs, Themes and Jams.

In 2024, he released the album Junkyard Swan, an electronic music collaboration with artificial intelligence.
